I am currently diving headfirst into learning Procreate, and boy, is it a ton of fun! I’m absolutely stoked with how this Dreamy Night Illustration turned out. Isn’t it cute?
Experimenting with this new tool has brought back a flood of memories. I vividly remember telling someone about ten years ago that I wanted to get into digital art. Even back then, I was captivated by a specific, ethereal style that I just knew I wanted to create.
I used to study digital art magazines, dreaming of the day I’d be able to illustrate like that. And yet, here I am—taking one small step each day, turning that distant dream into my current reality.
The Vision Behind the Art
My ultimate dream is to create art that evokes deep emotion and sparks inspiration. I want to leave behind a creative legacy that truly makes a difference in the world.
Don’t get me wrong—I still absolutely love traditional painting materials, and I know I’ll be reunited with my physical studio supplies soon.
But in the meantime, mastering the iPad gives me an incredible new medium to add to my toolkit on this journey to becoming a full-time artist. Plus, it makes continuing my work on the Kwietie range so much easier and more accessible right now!
I want to focus on creating ethereal, emotionally resonant art that tells a poetic story. Art that inspires people to wake up, carry on, and strive to live and be better each day.
Leaving a Legacy of Feeling
I don’t care about being immortal; I just want my art to move people. I want someone to look at a piece and feel an overwhelming sense of hope, joy, and peace.
My goal is for a viewer to stand in front of my work and think:
- “Wow, this makes me feel like absolutely anything is possible.”
- “Wow, this is something I need to look at daily to remind myself of my own worth.”
I want people to see themselves reflected in the characters I create. We all know that feeling when you look at another artist’s work and it awakens something deep, ancient, and powerful inside you.
That is exactly what I am aiming for: art that focuses on thriving, empowerment, and pure inspiration.
This is my dream, and I’m so excited to share every step of it with you.
